![]() ![]() Survivor is a very well-written tale about overcoming fear, and it's the Jedi story I've wanted for a long time. Cal's quest takes him to new corners of the galaxy, but the most compelling journey he makes is an introspective one. ![]() Exhilarating lightsaber combat and physics-defying platforming puzzle challenges remain the best part of Respawn's latest Star Wars game, but Survivor also makes big swings with its story this time around. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor builds on the already-winning formula of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order by making Cal Kestis a more powerful and resourceful Jedi Knight, while also upping the stakes and the challenges he's facing. ![]()

In fact, in the front of the book, we are treated to a really nice illustrated map of the land of Oz and the surrounding magical countries that Baum keeps adding to the landscape in each successive book. However, the illustrations by John Neill throughout the book are gorgeous and very detailed. The characters just journey from Point A to Point B and end up in Oz for a celebration. And in this book, that summary is literally what happens. A bunch of characters start off walking and meet a bunch of other crazy characters before eventually arriving in Oz. Like the other books in the series, this book is a “road trip” book. One year after Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz, Baum released the fourth Oz sequel The Road to Oz: In Which Is Related How Dorothy Gale of Kansas, The Shaggy Man, Button Bright, and Polychrome the Rainbow’s Daughter Met on an Enchanted Road and Followed it All the Way to the Marvelous Land of Oz. ![]() ![]() ![]() “I didn’t want to just cash in and publish my act. ![]() “I didn’t want to use a ghostwriter,” he said.
